NCCD Launches Project to Keep LGBT Youth Out of Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Systems
NCCD received a $1.35 million, three-year grant from an anonymous donor for its new project, Improving Permanency for LGBT Youth. LGBT youth, especially LGBT youth of color, are disproportionately represented in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. This project seeks to strengthen the link between out-of-home LGBT youth and their families so that they stop cycling in and out of these systems.
